Membership
Sweetwater Alliance is an all-volunteer,
grassroots organization. We have no paid staff, nor are we funded by
large grants or wealthy donors. In our line of work, we
understand that no one is going to take care of us except ourselves.
Your support is our biggest financial lifeline.
Sweetwater
North has recently transitioned to a system of formal membership to
help sustain our efforts. Even the most grassroots
organization have needs, and we realize our success depends largely
on our ability to meet them. Becoming a member is a critical part of
building organizational power and ensuring all of us have what we
need to win.
We have
three kinds of membership.
General Membership ($5-25/year)
Our general membership is designed for those that want to be
Sweetwater supporters but do not have an active chapter in their
area. While not participating in the day-to-day activity of a
Sweetwater chapter, you may want to attend actions or events when
they come to your region, stay informed of Sweetwater campaigns, and
support the group with a financial contribution.
Chapter
Membership ($5-25/month)
This membership is geared toward those wanting to be
involved regularly with an active chapter in their area. As
as person invested in your chapter's success, you are committed to
sustaining the work of your group with your time, energy, and a
monthly contribution.
Sustainer Membership (Open-ended contribution)
Short on time, but still wanting to pitch in, our Sweetwater
Sustainers aren't about to see a gutsy, winnable campaign go down
for lack of resources. You realize that even the most grassroots
groups need support, and you're willing to do your part to ensure
other Sweetwater members have what they need to win.
